Feather didn't lift her head, but her eyes moved up to look at Drake. "You." she mumbled. Fea wasn't about to lie to Drake, no matter how much she wanted to. "I know that you don't like me the way I like you, I know you never will."

"Ooooh." Drake replied, suddenly understanding. "I see what's going on. You're getting jealous of the way I'm treating Rin huh?" He lay down next to Feather, hoping to resolve any conflict

Feather held her breath. "Why does it matter, you obviously like her. Plus I'm just a stupid apprentice, what do I know?" she mumbled and turned her head away. Fea sighed and let her eyes close, waiting for Drakes next response. She wasn't looking for a fight or trying to be rude, but she had hoped that her mentor would treat her like he had treated Rin. 'Maybe that dream should come true, just not with her dying.' she thought.

"That's where you're wrong." Drake replied. "Rin's sweet, and pretty and all that, but I'd need to get to know her better before I could say I like her. Besides, I can't just get over Flame like that. Sadly, I don't think she's coming back. Out of sight, out of mind. Yea I wish." He looked over at Rin. "Sure, there's a possibility I could fall for her." He then looked back to Feather, nudging her lightly. "Or even you. But not yet."

Feather bristled, "I'm your apprentice." she grumbled. even though a tiny smile was forming on her face at the idea. "I'm sorry about Flame, Drake. But I have things to do. If you'll excuse me." She stepped lightly around the grey brute and stopped for a moment, "I'm sorry about me." Fea whispered and left the den without waiting for a response.

Drake didn't bother following Feather, knowing there was nothing else to say. He walked back to the deer he and Rin had killed a moment ago and took a couple of bites to satisfy his growing hunger.

"Not my goat!" Kanae wailed, throwing her head to the air. Her dark chocolate eyes glittered with laughter. She was so glad that her friend was able to help her with her bad mood. The young Alphess stood up and shook out her white pelt. Her eyes flickered to where Drake was eating a deer. Walking towards him, she nudged the male with her petite frame. "How's the food?"

"Great catch!" Kanae praised as she leaned over and took a swift bite. She was hungry but she didn't want to eat too much at the moment. Her chocolate hues looked around before fixing on Drake again. "So, two more females to add to the list of fighting over you?" She was meant to be humourous to ease the tension that lingered in the air because of Feather and Rin.

Drake coughed uncontrollably at Kanae's comment. "Excuse me?" he asked between coughs. Once his coughing stopped, he faced Kanae and said "I don't know what you're talking about."

Fea walked over to the herb den and began organizing madly. 'Chives there, basil here, comfrey right here, marigold there, mint leaves there, rosemary next to the basil, put the mint next to the thyme annnnd that there, this here, done.' she spoke calmly in her head.

"Excuse me?" he asked between coughs. Once his coughing stopped, he faced Kanae and said "I don't know what you're talking about."

Blue gave a rather unlady-like snort and rolled her eyes. Really? She closed her eyes and shook her head as a small grin worked its way to her face. Opening them shortly after, she caught sight of a lone black figure wrapped around a tree across from where she stood.

She seemed like she was mulling something over. Taking her time, Blue trotted to Katria's side. "Hey stranger," she greeted.

Kanae chuckled and shook her head, her chocolate eyes glittering with disbelief. "Oh, come on! Anyone with eyes can see the affection that Flame and Rin have for you." She wagged her tail and shook her head once more. Was Drake really this dense?

"Fea finished her work and left the den, slipping out of camp, hopefully unnoticed and walking to where she saw the snake. "I'm gonna kill it, and I'm gonna bring it back, and I'm gonna hang it in a tree for a raccoon." she said angrily. Feather needed something to keep her mind off of things, and facing fears was one thing she had learned worked well.

"oh, that. I'm just trying to make them happy, you know give them want. From what I've seen, all fae's want to be treated like they're princesses, they want to be loved. I think it's perfectly reasonable. Until they find the brute they're looking for, I'll give them the happiness they want with affection." He took another mouthful of deer, hoping he had explained his motives correctly. He heard Feather grumbling so added sadly "I don't think I'm doing a good job by feathers perspective however."

Rin sat there for a moment, deciding where to go. She glacned around for Drake, wondering if he'd mind her joining him. She found him talking with a fae that she hadn't met before. 'Must be Kanae,' She thought. 'Perhaps I should introduce myself...' And with that, the brown fae started to pad her way over.

Drake heard someone padding up behind him, so turned around to see Rin. His grin widened as he said "Well hello again beautiful."

Flicking her ears at the sound of pawsteps, Katria heard Blue's voice sound behind her. She groaned and said one word: "Boooorrreeeddd." Though really she was bummed about Amuro's reaction to her sharing her catch with him. Maybe he didn't have feelings for her like she thought...

Fea reached the edge of the lake, the snake was still gliding around on the surface. "Must be something down there." she said. Feather waded into the water and stood where the snake was swimming, the creature enlarged its circles to go around the wolf. The orange fae lunged, once, twice, three times, but the serpent continued avoiding her fangs. "So that's how it's gonna be." she decided. Feather pounced and landed on the snake, holding it underwater. She could see the creature struggling and decided to end its pain. With one quick bite, Fea had it hanging limply in her jaws, but not without punishment. A small trickle of blood began to run down from her muzzle.

Blue smirked at this. That couldn't really be the problem could it? She was about to respond with something along the lines of 'What, don't you have Amuro to entertain you?', but held her tongue. The subject might be a bit too tender, right now. Blue was unsure of where they stood as of now, and didn't want to ruin something by speaking her mind like she usually does.

Instead, she settled on, "Yeah, I guess it's boring being a gaurdian when there's no big, bad pussy-cat, huh?" She paused to smile at the black-pelted fae, before rolling her eyes skyward. "I don't really have anything to do either," she confessed. Bringing her eyes back down to be level with Katria's, she offered, "Do you want to talk for a bit?"

Fea walked into camp and looked around. 'Nothing new.' she said, noticing Drake flirting with Rin again. She dropped the snake on a stump nearby and walked over to the elk. Feather then ripped off a piece of the flank and pulled it over to the entrance of her den. She dropped it and lay down, beginning to eat. Still not noticing the bite from the snake on her muzzle, which was still bleading slowly. Fea tore a chunk from the bloody piece fo meat and began to chew thoughtfully. 'Maybe I'm really not meant to be with him.' she thought.

"Hey." She said, feeling the heat rising to her face. She bowed her head to the alphess, and sat. "My apologies for not introducing myself earlier. I'm Farolin...Rin." She corrected herself.

Blue tilted her head, grining lopsidedly. Judging by Katria's one-worded answer, she suspected that she'd have to keep this paticular conversation light. Well, not that she really had too many deep conversations. Actually, she couldn't remember the last time she had a serious one.

Nevermind that though, back to the current task. "So," she prompted, "Have you heard any new gossip, lately?"

Katria had observed things while she lazed around. "Well, Feather and Farolin are fighting over Drake," She said to the fae.
