Pack Ranks

Dominant Pair - They are the leaders of the pack. They must make sure everyone in the pack is looked after and that nothing happens to the members. If something arises, they and the rest of the Council make the decisions on what is to happen. Remember: The Alpha's word is law and it even over powers the words of the Council.

Betas - They are part of the Council and they help the Alphas when they are needed. Ranks below must listen to them and show them respect. If both the Alphas are absent, then they take control of the pack but can not make decisions without consulting the rest of the Council first. However, if the decision is a large one, they must await the return of the Alphas.

Deltas - Another part of the Council. They are the wolves who make sure that the words of the Alphas, Betas, and the Council are seen through. If the Alphas and Betas are absent, they become the ones in charge. They do not have as much say as the Betas however, but they can make minor decisions with the rest of the Council.

Lead Hunter - The leader of the Hunters who organizes the hunting parties. They are required to take the hunters out at least once every week and practice their skills. If there are any apprentices that wish to hunt, they choose the mentors for those apprentices.

Hunters - They are the life blood of the pack. Without them, the pack would surely starve. They are the smallest members of the pack and are extremely lithe and fast. These wolves are designed for speed. One moment they're there, the next they're gone.

Lead Guardian - The leader of the Guardians who makes sure everything that the Guardians do is jusified. The wolf who is chosen to tackle this job must always be on their toes. They are in charge of the wolves who scout the territory and often attack outsiders if provoked. Must make sure that the rest of the Guardians are well disciplined. Are required to take the Guardians out twice a week and evaluate their skills.

Guardians - These wolves are often aggressive and highly protective. They are the second largest, only to the Warriors; they are extremely tough and have some slight issues with trust. They are the hardest wolves to get to know, but no wolf can question their loyalty. Their job is to scout the borders of the territory and if they find an enemy (for example, a bear) they must call the Warriors. Often, if they deem it too dangerous to wait and the Lead Guardian says it's alright, they attack the danger on sight.

Lead Sentinel - The commander of the Sentinels who organizes everything that the Sentinels do. This wolf decides who goes to which rank when assistance is needed and where the territory should be expanded. Must exercise the rest of the Sentinel's abilities twice a week.

Sentinels - These wolves are trained to do everything. They can fight, scout and hunt when needed. When they are not needed, they are often searching for ways to expand the pack's territory. The wolves who apply for this rank are often very intelligent and hardy. They are firm on their beliefs, but are very open minded individuals.

Lead Warrior - The commander of the Warriors. Is often called the Elite Warrior. This wolf is usually the largest, most powerful wolf however this is not always the case. Sometimes, this wolf can simply be cunning and a good stratagist. The Lead Warrior must hone all the Warrior's skills at least twice a week.

Warriors - These wolves are the strongest and the bravest of the pack. They are often the largest in the pack as well. Fighting off threats is bred into them; they will take on anything to ensure the safety of the rest of the pack. Can be somewhat reckless and brash, but they are very loyal. It's best not to get on their bad side because they tend to hold grudges for a long time. Are pretty much fearless.

Lead Soothsayer - This wolf is a highly trained individual. The art of the Soothsayer is not earned, it is given to a wolf by birth. No one can simply become a Soothsayer. This wolf has the uncanny ability to see events that are yet to happen. They do not know the entire future, but can recieve glimpses if lucky. Not everything is shown to them.

Lead Healer - This wolf knows everything there is to know about herbs and many different injuries. Many times, this wolf is a female because they tend to have the patience to deal with their packmates when they're in pain. This is not always the case, however. The Lead Healer is very intelligent and often carries a very calming aura.

Apprentices - Younger wolves who are training to be in a rank. They are under a year old of age and are inexperienced. Are often silly and believe they are always right. After they have completed their training, their mentor must inform Kanae and she will make them true members of their rank.
